- Salvatore Taormina imm. From Palermo, arr. on the “Ultonia” on 24 Sept. 1905, aged 16 - born abt. 1889. Manifest says that he's headed to Pittsburg, PA, to see his brother Vincenzo Taormino living on Tioga St. This seems to be his original entry to the U.S.
On 3 Dec. 1908 he enters on the Carpathia. He's 17 (born abt. 1891). He says his relatives live on Via Cappuccina, Trabia, Palermo. He's traveling with his brothers Antonino and Filippo. He's been to the US before, from 1905-08. He's headed to see his brother Vincenzo on Tioga St. in Pittsburg.
"Samuel Thormin" is working with Philip and Vincent in Brockville in 1913, according to a local business directory.
There was a findagrave.com record that placed him at the Oakland Cemetery, Brockville, Ontario, Canada, but it's gone now.
