1930-This is to Certify, That, it appears from the Records of this office, that on this day, to-wit the Seventeenth of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and Thirty ... (17 July 1930), was registered a marriage, celebrated in the City of New Orleans, La., by Rev. Father F. Badeaux on the 15th day of July, 1930, between Albert Joseph Gelpi (23) years, a native of N. O., La. son of Paul J. Gelpi, M.D. and Annette Hincks and Miss Alice Marie Delaup (23) years, a native of N. O., La. daughter of Louis Delaup and Marie Messonnier. The celebration of the marriage was performed in the presence of the witnesses L. J. Delaup, Paul J. Gelpi, M.D., Delphine Delaup. GELPI-On Wednesday, July 22, 1959, at 5 o'clock a.m., Albert Joseph Gelpi, age 51 years, husband of Alice Delaup, father of Albert J., Jr., and Donald Gelpi, S. J., son of Annette Hincks and the late Dr. Paul J. Gelpi, brother of Paul J. Gelpi, Jr., John J., Robley J., Clarence J., and Sidney J. Gelpi, Mrs. Malcolm J. Sperry, Mrs. Fred Marks and Mrs. Fred Berthelson, Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from the Laudumiey Funeral Home, 1225 North Rampart St. ( parking entrance adjoining) on Thursday, July 23, 1959, at 9:30 o'clock a. m. followed by Mass at St. Raphael church.

GELPI FUNERAL SERVICES TODAY
Founder of Tamale Firm Expires at 51
Funeral rites will be held Thursday for Albert J. Gelpi, Sr., 51, who died Wednesday morning at his residence at 6029 Vermilion blvd. Services will be held from F. Laudumiey and Co., Ltd., funeral home, 1225 N. Rampart at 9:30 a. m. followed by a Solemn High Mass at St. Raphael's church and interment in St. Louis No. 3 cemetery.
A founder of the Fiesta Tamale Co., 2222 Clio, Gelpi was graduated from Warren Easton High School. He founded the tamale company with two of his brothers, Sidney and Clarence Gelpi in 1944, and served as the firm's secretary.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Raphael's parish.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Alice Delaup; two sons, Albert J., Jr. and Mr. Donald Gelpi, S. J.; his mother Mrs. Paul J. Gelpi, Sr., five brothers, Paul J., John J., Robley J., Clarence J., and Sidney J. Gelpi, all of New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. Malcolm Sperry of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Fred Berthelson, Jr., of New Orleans, and Mrs. Fred Marks of Baton Rouge.
