This is to certify that William H.Kimber, Orderly Sergeant of Co. “C,” 15th Penna. Cav., was killed at the Battle of Stone River, Tenn., on the 29th Dec. 1862. He died, possessed only of the clothing on his person at that time, all his other effects having been destroyed on the capture & burning of the Regimental Wagon train by the enemy. A. Vezin, Capt. Co. “C” 15th Penna. Cav.Occupation “soldier” on his death certificate; he died during the Civil War Death 29 Dec 1862 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., Tennessee
