- There are several documents, including a court case, in which Adam Robb's name appears in the sale of a slave named Charity.
Montgomery Co., Maryland: L.156, Nov. 15, 1803: Adam Robb, Henry Lansdale, and Catherine Lansdale made a bill of sale to Eleanor, Charles, Joshua, Thomas Jefferson, and Samuel Busey, the children of John Busey, "consideration love and natural affection," negro girl "Charity" who was formerly sold by John Busey to Adam Robb.
Charity later made a petition for her freedom; this case is preserved in the MDArchives:

ITEMS: bill 1818; statement of William Campbell 1818; answer of Adam Robb 19 May 1819; decree July 1820. COMMENTS: Charity, Mary and her infant child, and Kitty asserted that they were entitled to their freedom as indicated in the affidavit of William Campbell, but now they believed they had been sold and were "about to be carried out of this State" (SOURCE: MSA T415-3-35).
