  Notes	It seems to have been James who JL Sr. visited in 1926, and to whom he gave Sally Mannen's ashes. Sally Pollock's obituary also names him. See JL Sr's diary entries for Aug. 1926 et seq. He notes that "the Pollocks, of whom there seems to be a good many around Germantown, look to me as if there had been a good family gone to seed." JL Sr. also says that he arranged for a marker on her grave.
