Obituary | Obituary, Times-Picayune, November 16, 1950, p2: PITARD - on Tuesday, November 14, 1950, at 4:25 o'clock a.m. at the residence, 200 Betz Place, Metairie, Gustave Joseph Pitard, husband of Lucie Gamard; father of Gustave J. Pitard of Baltimore, Md., and Wallace F. Pitard of this city; brother of Mrs. Inez Pitard Ledoux and Clarence J. Pitard. The funeral took place Wednesday morning, November 15, 1950, at 10 o'clock at the House of Bultman, St. Charles avenue, at Louisiana avenue. Requiem mass was said at St. Francis Xavier church. Interment was private at Metairie cemetery. | |

She was not a blood relation, but had been taken in by the family way back and lived with them for years. She appears in Gustave Pitard Sr.'s household on the 1880 census as a servant, "Anita Mish," next to her son [presumably her son] Fernand. |
