  Obituary	Obit: A. T. Mannen, 59, pioneer cattleman of Pinal County, died at his home west of town Wednesday morning. Born in Kentucky February 15, 1882, Mr. Mannen spent most of his early youth in the west, locating in the Casa Grande district more than 20 years ago. Surviving are the widow, Lupe; a sister in Houston, Texas; and two brothers, both residing in California. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30, at the Cole and Maud Mortuary, with the Rev. Marie Patch reading the rites. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.

  Notes	"Turney Mannen" registered for the WW1 draft in Pinal, Arizona, on Sept. 12, 1918. He lists his birthdate there are Feb. 17, 1879, which is what I use here: Occupation: Farmer nearest relative: Mrs. Lutisha Mannen, 80 15th St., Wheeling, WVa. I assume that this name could also be "Titia,” Is it his wife? I assume so; his mother Sally was still living. On the 1910 Census there is a "Lettie Mannen" named as HOH, age 46 (b. abt. 1864), with son Frank age 20, both born in Kentucky, living in Henry Co., Indiana. I see a "Letitia Mannen" on the 1920 census for Westchester, NY, married to a Maxwell Mannen. don't know who these folks are. In 1930, on the census, he is the manager of a cattle range. He was not a veteran. He and Lupe were married. One the census it says that he was first married at age 25, but that he and Lupe were married for only 4 years—so he must have been married before Lupe, in about 1904.
