Notes |
- She immigrated through Ellis Island on 6 Dec. 1911 on the Cretic, with her sister and her mother. Her destination was 140 King St. W, Brockville, Ontario, to see her brothers Vincenzo, Salvatore, and Filippo Taormina. This gives a clear time by which the sons had moved to Canada.
On the same ship is a Vincenzo Taormina, aged 16 (so, b. abt. 1895), arrived on the Cretic from Palermo bound for Pittsburgh. His closest relative back home is his father Filippo Taormina. He's going to find his uncle Filippo Campisi at 7808 Tioga St. He was born in Trabia, Palermo, as well. Other related Taorminas, then, seem to have immigrated; others appear in the censuses in and around Pittsburgh in 1900 and later.
She and her sister both married and move to Belmont, Massachusetts.
