  Obituary	Obituary, Times-Picayune, 29 Oct. 1911, p24: TANNERET - On Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1911, at 11 o'clock p.m., Francis Raoul Tanneret, husband of the late Lorenza Maupay, aged 64 years, a native of New Orleans. He committed suicide; several articles in New Orleans papers comment on the incident. He was apparently distraught over not being appointed to a political office in the Republican party, and his wife had died the year before.   Notes	The US Fencing Hall of Fame site's "Roll of Honor" describes Raoul Tanneret as a student of Gilbert Rosiere, who "taught fencing to many a Creole gentleman" at the Orleans Fencing Club. Raoul Tanneret is listed as a notary for New Orleans from 3/1/1882 to 5/31/1886 by the New Orleans Notarial Archives.   		Marriage certificate for Lorenza Maupay and Raoul Tanneret (m. 1885) Transcription: " . . . to-wit: the twenty eighth of May in the Year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty five . . . was registered a marriage, celebrated in the City of New Orleans, La., by Rev. Timothy Stiemke on the 25 day of May 1885 between Raoul Tanneret (__ years) a native of Louisiana son of Emile Tanneret and Augustine Massicot, and Miss Lorenza Maupay (__ years), a native of Louisiana daughter of Daniel Maupay and Lorenza Fernandez.
