  Notes	Her father is named Jacob on her marriage record. Family history says she was from Obendorf Parish in Hanover. "Oberndorf" is just to the east of Freiburg, where her husband's family originated in northern Lower Saxony. Her family ran a textile mill, and grew flax. She had a small Luther Bible inscribed "to Metta Möller from her "lehrer," teacher, in 1829, when 8 years of age. Her name and her father's name are spelled "Möller" on her marriage record, and family history records this as the spelling. Her own 1821 birth record spells her family's last name as "Müller." The two spellings were almost interchangeable. Her given name, her father's name, the specific date (5 Jan. 1821), and the place all match, however, so this birth record will be her's. Her family, like her husband's, comes from the region of Lower Saxony on the western bank of the Elbe river called the "Elbe-Weser triangle," especially the northern part of it. Her family lived in a house on the site of St. Mary's Church in Bellville. This family is all buried in the same cemetery in Chappell Hill, Texas. Names on findagrave only use initials.
