Obituary | Obituary, Times-Picayune, 16 Mar 1917, p21: Mrs. Henry J. Prados Dead Was Member of St. Margaret’s Daughters and Daughters of Confederacy. Mrs. Henry J. Prados, a woman of many activities and a very large circle of friends, died Thursday night at the family residence, 117 South Hagan avenue. Before her marriage to Mrs. Prados, in 1879, she was Miss Amelie Marie Bernos. She was educated at St. Michael’s Convent, in St. James Parish. She was an active member of the alumnae of the Sacred Heart, of New Orleans Chapter No. 72, United Daughters of the Confederacy, of St. Margaret’s Daughters and of the Ladies Confederate Memorial Association. Mrs. Prados was the mother of Mrs. Clarence J. Pitard, and of Rufus H. Prados and was the sister of Mrs. Charles Granger. | |
