I.D. Birdsong
Bon Weir (Spl) — Funderal services for I.D. Birdsong, 85, of Bon Wier were to be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Bon Wier Baptist Church. The Rev. J.P. Seaman of Holly Springs and former pastor of the church was to officiate. The Rev.Paul Outlaw, Pentecostal minister, was to assist.
Burial in Ford Cemetery was to be under direction of Griner Funeral Home of Newton. Pallbearers will be Joe Barrow, Glenn Yentzen Jr., Wayne Simmons, B.W. Birdsong and Ray and Ted Hughes.
Birdsong died Saturday afternoon in his home after a heart attack.
A Native of Lufkin, he had lived in Newton County many years. He was a retired lumber scaler for Kirby Lumber Co.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Glenn Yentzen of Beaumont. |
