- In his 1870 household a Bridget and Mary Gibbons, both from Ireland (66 and 38) are living with them as well as domestic servants.
In the 1880 census, however, Bridget is named as "mother-in-law" (aged 75) and Mary is "sister-in-law" (aged 50).
A number of George Swarbricks appear in the England census, born in 1826 or 1828. All are from Lancashire (where Manchester is located). But, all I see (on findmypast) appear from the 1841 census or later, which would be after the time (age 11) that his obit. says he emigrated to the states.
