  Obituary	Obituary, Times-Picayune, Tues. 27 July 1976, p8: Insurance Exec Dies John W. Marshall Jr., husband of the former Yvonette Gifford fo New Orleans, died Monday in Highland Hospital in Shreveport following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Berchmans church in Shreveport. Interment will be in Forest Park Cemetery there. Osborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Marshall was co-owner of the Marshall-Scarborough Insurance agency. He was a native of Shreveport and a graduate of Centenery College. He served in World War II as a Navy Lieutenant and was a former Grand Knight of the Broadwater [sic—”Broadmoor”] Council of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Marshal was also past president of the Lousiana Association of Insurance Agents. Surviving are his widow; his mother, Mrs. John W. Marshall of Shreveport [ . . . ]
