Notes |
- His name does not appear in Orleans parish birth indices.
In the 1920 census George Pitard is living with wife Mary and son Robert. Right next to them is William J. Burns, with Nora his wife and son William J. Jr. They are living at 5107 and 5105 Chartres street in the 9th Ward. It’s an excellent supposition that this is Mary’s family. William Sr. also working on the railroad, as in 1930.
William is living in his daughter's household in the 1930 census.
There is a Col. William H. Byrnes who died in 1910 in New Orleans, the occasion for many articles in papers; this was not him. he was married to Ellen Conery, and born in Ireland.
