Notes	His name, and his parents' names, come from the official marriage record for him and his wife. His wife’s death record does not record him as “veuf,” so I assume that he was still alive at the time. I can find no record of him, or him living with his wife, in the census or NOLA vital records. In the 1880 census, a Pierre Arnaud with wife Lizzie Arnaud are living in Washington D.C. The dates are about right; he is 51 and she is 46. He was born in Marseilles. He is a barber. But, she was born in "Frankfort," as were both of her parents. In the 1891 census record for Bandol, there is another Arnaud living with him and his wife: Augustine, aged 61, “ep. Brun.” This would be his sister, the spouse of Brun.
