    This couple are the grandmother and grandfather of Thomas John Hall 3rd, who wrote that the Hall history. I collect the children from the pages following this, though they are not explained clearly.

    Their children are buried at St. James Parish Church, in Anne Arundel County.

    In the 1850 census there is one person in his household I cannot identify: Hanna A. Hall, aged 20, born in Maryland. She is not identified as a daughter in other sources.

    Notes:

    Of his daughters, the story is that Anne Marie was lovely, and had a great deal of attention, while Rachel Sophia "was not pretty and therefore she on that account was very much beloved by her step-mother, and she in return was devoted to her step-mother." He died intestate.

    There were also other children of this couple who died young.
