Obituary | Obituary, The Oregonian, 7 Mar. 1956 (as copied from findagrave): Rosina Dekum Strain, 85, lifelong resident of Portland, died Monday at her home, 3325 N.W. Franklin Court. She was born here April 2, 1870, daughter of the late Frank Dekum after who were named Dekum Street and Dekum Building. Mrs. Strain was a graduate of Mills College and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Private funeral services will be Wednesday with J.P. Finley's in charge. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Murdock, Portland, and Mrs. Stephanie Scott, Salem; sister, Mrs. Clara Dekum Meyers, Portland; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. | |
