Obituary, The Capital (Annapolis, MD), 11 Feb. 1997:
Neil D. Phipps, 60, died of pancreatic cancer Feb. 9 in his Arnold home after a year-long illness.
Born in Annapolis, Mr. Phipps was a lifelong resident of this area. He attended Annapolis High School and served in the Army from 1955 to 1958.
He worked for Farmers Supply and Equipment Co. and Baldwin Service Center, where he began his career as a mechanic. He was foreman for 28 years. He also had his own home improvement business.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Skinner Phipps, a daughter, Alane Wagner of Severna Park, and his mother, Helen E. Haneke, a brother, Stewart J. Phipps, and a sister, Patricia A. Rupert, all of Arnold; and two grandsons. |
